Notes
For high sand content greens, an outside-sharpened scalloped shell makes it easier to take a plug in one cut. It cuts with less effort, compacts better and holds the entire plug. And its outside edge is easier to sharpen. For heavier soils - requiring two cuts or more - any shell combination will work.
